Sr. Manager, Resident Architecture

About the Team

The Resident Technology Services team offers premium, long-term professional services to HashiCorp customers. The purpose of the team is to align with the biggest technical transformation initiatives of HashiCorp customers, working as part of the customer technology team from start to finish.

The team is comprised of highly-skilled architects and engineers who have played critical roles in technical transformation in other enterprises, either from an individual contributor or technical leadership perspective, and have seen firsthand what success looks like.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Manage a regional team of Resident Solutions Architects and Engineers through the lifecycle of their various customer engagements.
  • Collaborate with Sales account teams to ensure customer needs are appropriately met.
  • Ensure documentation and practice standards are being followed by all Resident Solutions Architects and Engineers under your supervision.
  • Ensure Resident Solutions Architects and Engineers under your supervision are maintaining an appropriate level of career development and training.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on large-scale cloud operating model adoption and technical transformation.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to Resident Solutions Architects and Engineers on technical transformation, product architecture, and customer engagement.
  • Assist in the ongoing development of program and documentation standards for the Resident Technology Services team. 
  • Manage internal and external escalations for the team members under your supervision.
  • Track and report metrics regarding customer engagements for your team.
  • Coordinate various HashiCorp professional services resources to assist with specific customer needs as part of their technical transformation.
  • Contribute towards building a mutli-cloud adoption framework.
  • Articulate and redefine the cloud consumption model in relation to HashiCorp Tao of workflows.
  • Assist Enterprise CxOs in articulating the business value achieved in building the correct cloud consumption model.
  • Communicate the business value of the HashiCorp product suite to customer executives.
  • Articulate the technical functionality of HashiCorp products to multiple audiences ranging from practitioner to executive.
  • Be subject to additional background checks and screening performed by the customer.

What You’ll Need:

 

  • 8+ years of experience designing and implementing technical systems and services.
  • 2+ years of experience managing technical architecture and/or engineering teams.
  • Intermediate understanding of DevOps processes and automation.
  • Intermediate​ ​technical​ ​expertise​ ​in​ ​cloud and on-premise infrastructure​ ​management,​ ​application​ ​deployment and​ ​practical security​ ​methodology.​
  • Working proficiency with one or more of the tools in the HashiCorp product suite. 
  • Familiarity with security and compliance requirements for shared services.
  • A proven track record of driving cloud transformation at one or more organizations.
  • Passion for thought leadership in areas including cloud operating model and organizational transformation, cloud operations, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • Experience managing cloud maturity and capability assessments, leading the design and implementation of cloud governance and operational processes, and developing cloud transformation roadmaps.
  • Familiarity with cloud service providers and their offerings, common technical platforms, and shared service management at scale.
  • The ability to speak to all levels of an organization, whether at a deep technical level or at executive level.
  • The ability to explain complex technical topics in simple terms.

Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.

The base pay range for this role is:
$190,400$224,000 USD
The OTE pay range for this role is:
$238,000$280,000 USD
