Consul service mesh via Consul Connect brings the full value of self-service networking automation to the table. It adds service-to-service encrypted communicationn with an intuitive intensions system to control what each service and system can talk to. It also adds L7 and L4 observability, along with progressive delivery pattern capabilities—such as traffic splitting, canary deploys, and more.

In this talk, HashiCorp community support engineer Jono Sosulska will help you understand the concept of a service mesh through the analogy of an apartment complex, and also shows in a demo, how to get started with service mesh using Consul.
