Terraform for Platform Teams

Combine the DevOps trend of letting devs define their own application infrastructure with the Terraform that they already know (and hopefully love!) while allowing your platform team to define and manage their own secret sauce definitions of what corporate infrastructure needs to be.

As platform engineering continues to be a growing trend, it often brings challenges and dissonance with DevOps. Platform teams seem to take us back to the SysAdmin days where the Ops team was responsible for maintaining systems. How does that fit the “you build it, you own it!" culture?

In this talk, we'll see how to combine the DevOps trend of letting devs define their own application infrastructure with the Terraform that they already know (and hopefully love!) while allowing your platform team to define and manage their own secret sauce definitions of what corporate infrastructure needs to be.
