Learn Lab: Validate infrastructure, detect drift, and enforce policies with HCP Terraform

Use HCP Terraform to ensure that your infrastructure matches your configuration, and meets security and organizational requirements. First, you will write resource-level requirements into your Terraform configurations and validate them with a Terraform plan. Then, you will configure HCP Terraform to detect drift to ensure that your infrastructure does not diverge from your configuration. Finally, you will apply and enforce Sentinel policies for your workspaces.

Lab prerequisites:
To follow along the hands-on lab, you would need the following:

• Terraform v1.4+ installed locally

• An AWS account

• An HCP Terraform account and HCP Terraform locally authenticated

• An HCP Terraform variable set configured with your AWS credentials
