Curating the Best Twitter Feed: Christmas Pets Edition

Learn how Grace Nguyen used Terraform to create a website for Christmas-y Twitter pets, Petmas.

Grace Nguyen automated their infrastructure with Terraform to create a website for Christmas-y Twitter pets, Petmas. With its secret sauce, Petmas provides the feed of pets without the login hassle, the ads and worst of all, the rabbit holes.

It all started during Cheermeister when Hashicorp announced the Holiday Hackstravanganza. As a second year computer engineering student, Grace has always wanted to learn Terraform, so Petmas was born. (Submission, YouTube demo: https://discuss.hashicorp.com/t/team-petmas/19395) Petmas won "Best Pet-related hack" and will be participating in a HashiCraft episode!

What You'll Learn

  • Terraform isn't big and scary. Even for a 2-week personal project, it makes infrastructure much faster (and more fun).
  • Struggles and questions Grace had along the way
  • The future of Petmas
